Landlord Obligations to be Satisfied before or at the Time of Entering into a Residential Tenancy Agreement

Landlord must provide certain information before or at the time residential tenancy agreement is entered into, s48

· agent’s name, telephone number and address for service of documents (if applicable);

· landlords full name and address for service of documents* (this must not be the agent’s  address for service);

· if no agent acts for landlord – the landlord’s telephone number; and

· full name and address of any  person with superior title to the landlord; and

· if the landlord is a company – the address of the registered office of the company;

· any other information required by the Commissioner

* Need not be personal address, can be PO Box

Maximum penalty: $1,250

Expiation fee: $210
